What is fractal art?
Fractals are graphical representations of one or more complex mathematical operations. It is quite interesting to see that mathematics is capable of creating such stunning imagery. Fractals serve as the bases for many of my images. The fusion of fractals and my personal paintings are the result that you see in this section. I call it 'fractal art.'How is it done?
There are many computer programs that are capable of generate fractal images. Some of them are freeware and produce very good results. Just run a query with your favorite search engine using keywords like "fractal freeware" to get some helpful links. As previously mentioned, I use fractal images just as a base. I edit them using standard image editing software (e.g. Photoshop, Corel Photo Paint or the GIMP) until I produced my desired results. Some history
My inspiration came during college at the age of 19, I was fascinated that mathematical operation could create such beautiful images with organic shapes. I used these images to experiment with image editing software for the first time. All the images that you see in this section were created in 1996.Today I still like to play with images but I left the fractals and now use different sources for my images.
